Jeffrey A. Bauer, QPA, CPC

President and Principal

Bauer is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in economics, and he holds certifications as a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and as a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC); he is also a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). With almost 20 years of in-depth experience in the fields of qualified and nonqualified retirement programs, and welfare benefit administration, Bauer has the credentials to understand this industry like no other and the foresight to anticipate what will help our clients succeed. In addition, Bauer has the skill to identify outstanding talent and the drive to surround himself with intelligent professionals who can deliver on the Angell promise.

Susan Collins

Vice President of Operations

A veteran of Angell Pension Group since 1984, Collins is charged with managing all areas of the organization. She is ultimately responsible for the finances, production and management of all aspects of Angell's operations. In addition to managing all financial transactions, Collins directly supervises all departments, and leads the directors of three key departments (Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, and Legal).

Peter Karlson, J.D., L.L.M.

Director of ERISA Services

Karlson is a graduate of Middlebury College with a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law. In addition, Karlson has a L.L.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. He is a current member of the Colorado Bar, the Rhode Island Bar, and the American Bar Association (Employee Benefits Committee of the Section of Taxation).

Diane Landi

Director of Retirement Services

Landi has been with Angell Pension Group since 1987 and has close to 25 years of experience in employee benefits and qualified and nonqualified plan administration. She is directly responsible for many of the company's critical departments, including Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Fringe and Welfare Benefit Plans. Landi is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a B.S. in Education.

Eve Savastano, CPC, QPA, QKA

Director of Consulting

A member of Angell Pension Group since 1983, Savastano brings almost 30 years of ERISA plan compliance and administration experience to our team. Having had a number of roles in the organization, Savastano is currently responsible for all complex compliance issues. She has a B.A. from Roger Williams University and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, Savastano is certified as a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and she is a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) with the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

Joseph Borin, CPC, QPA, QKA

Director of Technical Services

Borin joined Angell Pension Group in 1996 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire and the Philadelphia Institute for Employee Benefits Training. With more than 14 years of experience in the employee benefits field, he is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Technical Services Department, as well as managing special projects, drafting and submitting qualified retirement plans to the IRS for approval, and providing in-house consultants and administrators with technical research support. Borin also has extensive experience in drafting and interpreting nonqualified retirement plans and fringe benefit plans. He is certified as a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), and is a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

Carol Lipman, CPC, QPA, QKA

Director of Plan Administration

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in Psychology, Lipman has more than 20 years of experience in retirement and pension administration, and is a specialist in 401(k) rules and regulations. She joined Angell Pension Group in 1998 and is responsible for recruiting and training new employees, educating administrators on governmental rules and regulations, establishing uniform procedures and working tools; Lipman also plays a major role in the peer review process. She is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and is a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), and a Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).

Melissa Medbury, CPC, QPA, QKA

Director of Special Services

After joining Angell Pension Group in 1995, Medbury is now responsible for employing complex testing methods to help clients maximize their plan benefits. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, Medbury is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and is certified as a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) from the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA).
